Exciting first half of the year!

A busy first half of the year for the band

It’s going to be a busy first half of the year for the band. We’re currently rehearsing “Was Lebet” by Andrew Wainwright, the First Section test piece for the Areas this year. If you want to hear the fruits of our labours then there is an open rehearsal at Ipswich Salvation Army on Monday 16th March at 7.30pm (admission free). This years London and Southern Counties Area Contest is in the Gordon Craig theatre in Stevenage on Saturday 21st March.

Following that on 9th May we have a joint concert with Norwich Citadel Salvation Army band in aid of the YMCA, and then we will head north to take part in the famous Whit Friday marches.

Into June we have a concert at St Mary’s Church, Woodbridge on Saturday 6th and then for our final concert before the summer break we head again to Bredfield for an outdoor Last Night of the Proms concert.
