A Festive December for the band
December 2025 was a wonderfully busy and festive time for the East of England Co-op Band, as we were delighted to share Christmas music with audiences across the region in a variety of settings.
Our seasonal activities began with small ensemble performances at our sponsor’s East of England Co-op stores. Shoppers in Woodbridge were treated to festive music on 6th December, followed by another cheerful performance in Framlingham on 13th December. These appearances helped spread Christmas spirit in the heart of the community and were a pleasure for band members and listeners alike.

The full band then took centre stage for two major Christmas concerts, both of which proved hugely popular. On 7th December, St Mary’s Church, Coddenham was filled to capacity for a sold-out concert, and this was followed by another packed and sold-out afternoon at St Peter’s Church, Brooke on 14th December. Each concert featured a wide variety of Christmas music in different styles, showcased several of the band’s talented soloists, and included moments of communal carol singing that brought performers and audience together in true festive spirit.

Adding a seasonal sporting highlight to the month, a group from the band also performed in the fanzone at Portman Road on Saturday 20th December, just a short walk from the band room, ahead of Ipswich Town’s match against Sheffield Wednesday. The festive atmosphere was topped off by a memorable 3–1 win for Ipswich Town, making it a great day for both football and music.

As we close the year, we would like to thank all our supporters for their continued support throughout 2025. We wish everyone a very Happy Christmas, and we look forward to playing for you again in 2026.
